Gentleman, we all want to dress and impress. So to help you out, I have compiled a list of 10 strange men’s grooming tips that work and will make you stand out.

1. Shave after showering

The best time to shave is right after a warm shower. The steam from the shower will soften your facial hair and open up your pores, which will reduce the risk of nicks and cuts.

2. Cold or warm shower?

If you are showering in the morning take a colder shower then you usually do. This will help you wake up faster and feel energized during the day, it also helps your skin to stay moisturized.

If it’s the evening then take a lukewarm shower. You might be tempted to take a hot shower, but you are doing a disservice to yourself. The hot water will strip your skin of essential oils. Lukewarm showers relax your pores and muscles, which will help you sleep better

3. If you are out of shaving soap

You need to look presentable for that business meeting, job interview or a social gathering and that messy beard won’t cut it, but you are out of shaving soap or cream

Don’t worry I have just the grooming tip for you. Just use hair conditioner, I have found that a bit of body lotion or a tsp. of olive oil also does the trick. This will make the razor glide easier on your face, and it also acts as a moisturizer.

Nobody likes dirty teeth before the invention of the toothpaste people used baking soda to clean their teeth. You can use this if you don’t have any toothpaste. Put some on your toothbrush and add a little water. Just be careful, baking soda Is abrasive and you can damage your gums if you brush your teeth too vigorously, scrub your teeth for 2 – 3 minutes to get the best effect.

You don’t have any lip balm and it is cold outside, your lips will quickly dry up without any protection from the elements.

Put a little bit of it on your lips and let it sit for a 3 – 5 minutes on your lips. Lick the honey off and you’re ready to go. Honey is a natural moisturizer and will keep your lips protected.

This grooming tip might sound weird but it just works.

6. A better use for ALCOHOL

If you have a smelly coat, sweater or jeans, you don’t need to turn on the washing machine just for that piece of clothing.

That smell is probably caused by bacteria on your clothes. To get rid of them use Isopropyl Alcohol, if it’s 95% or 99% concentration then dilute it with distilled water if it is about 70% then there is no need. Spray it on your clothes and let the alcohol do its magic.

7. How to make your perfume last longer

Let’s face it, for a lot of us perfume is not cheap, and we all want a better bang for our buck.

To make your perfume last a bit more, especially if you have dry skin use vaseline or a body/face cream (neutral scent preferably), apply on places that you will spray with your favorite scent.

From personal experience, this will give your perfume about 1 – 2h lasting power.

8. SOURED MILK for sunburns

I hate sunburns, they sting, itch and are just a pain, but there is a fix.

This is my favorite and also the weirdest men’s grooming hack that is going to be featured.

Rub soured milk on the skin, it will absorb the heat and make your skin softer, which will ease the pain and speed up the healing process. Let the soured milk dry on the skin, which will take about 30 minutes to an hour. The downside is, you will need a shower because of the smell. Don’t knock it until you try it.

9. Acnes and acne scarring

No one likes acne, especially teenagers while they are in puberty. This tip is not for everyone if you have bad scaring you need to go to the dermatologist because a specialist will give you the best advice.

If you have light acne scarring or spots where you had acne coconut oil and aloe vera gel will do wonders for you. Just put a bit on your face an hour before going to bed and let the skin absorb the stuff. Note it will take time and regular use for you to get rid of the scaring.

BONUS TIP: If you need to pop that pimple, don’t do it with your hands, even if you washed them there is a risk of infection. Use wet wipes or a napkin instead.

10. Tea bags for deodorizing items

Your shoes are smelly or your gym bag reeks, what to do.

Use unused tea bags (green tea bags work the best for this). Put 3 – 4 tea bags in your gym bag or 2 for each shoe. Leave them in for a day and you will have your items smelling like new.
